Going to Italy was a first time for me. The excitement of the Italian architecture , the famous cathedrals (Dom) and the immense artistic inheritance of the place led me to hone in to attended a hands-on dental course in Bologna, Italy.

I was lucky to train with Rhein 83, an international company specialising in Precision attachments for Removable Dentures. I also did an advanced course in the application of  Sports Guards &  Aligners for correction of malaligned teeth.

After 5 days of training, I set to explore the cities of Venice (islands of Murano and Burano) and Florence. Travelled extensively by train and the famous vaporatti (ferry) services with ease, absorbing everything this country had to offer; from intricate handmade glass (millie fleuri) to artists capturing a moment on blank canvases in colours so vibrant and shapes so perfect.

So in awe of the architecture as I walked into cathedrals that were 100’s of years old and marvelled at the history and how well they’ve been protected and restored to their previous glory. The cobble- streets of Italy made my solo travels an adventure trip, made new friends and memories to cherish.
